SUMMARY:Maximizing Returns on Investment of the National Science Data Fabr
ic: Driving Practical Impact and Sustainable Innovation
DESCRIPTION:Valerio Pascucci (University of Utah)\n\nThe National Science
Data Fabric (NSDF) is building an open, accessible, and scalable infrastru
cture to democratize access to scientific data and computing resources. Th
is talk presents NSDF’s vision and practical strategies for maximizing the
return on national investments in data infrastructure. We highlight the i
ntegration of FAIR digital objects, end-to-end data services, and cross-in
stitutional collaboration that enables broad participation across discipli
nes and institutions. By supporting real-world use cases in areas such as
climate science, materials discovery, and biomedical research, NSDF is dri
ving sustainable innovation and ensuring that scientific discovery is both
inclusive and impactful.\n\nDomain: Climate, Weather, and Earth Sciences,
Engineering, Physics, Computational Methods and Applied Mathematics\n\nSe
ssion Chairs: Maria Girone (CERN), Valerio Pascucci (University of Utah),
and Michela Taufer (University of Tennessee)\n\n
